The assemblies are soldered at JH Electronic Systems using a nitrogen-capable convection oven with 5 heating zones and 2 peak zones.
Soldering in a nitrogen-controlled atmosphere prevents oxidation of the solder joints during soldering. The resulting reduced surface tension of the solder leads to an optimal flow behaviour and to an excellent quality of the solder joints.
Because of the 5 heating zones, the PCB is heated up with maximum sensitivity. This eliminates defects due to excessively steep temperature gradients.
Due to the 2 peak zones, which are set independently of each other in the temperatures, we can guarantee that even PCBA’s with a high variance of thermal masses are not overheated.
A traceability report is made for each soldered PCBA. This shows the temperatures and temperature gradients to which the PCB was exposed at each point in the soldering process.
